4LIFERS

Merch Design

In 2022, I was working with a friend under Late Night Custom, designing custom sneakers — including a pair made for Druski. After his Boston show, we met his team at their hotel to deliver the shoes, which opened the door to my first real professional design opportunity. They needed a quick Valentine’s Day merch drop, so I reworked the 4LIFERS branding into a simple heart-camo themed mini-collection. It became one of the first projects that pushed me toward taking design seriously.

Challenge

4LIFERS needed a Valentine’s Day capsule that felt holiday-themed but still true to their bold, comedic brand. Their existing identity wasn’t built around seasonal visuals, so the challenge was finding a way to introduce Valentine’s elements without making the graphics feel off-brand or overly complicated. With limited direction and a tight turnaround, I had to reinterpret their logo and symbols into something clean, fun, and merch-ready.

Objective

Reimagine the 4LIFERS brand through a Valentine’s lens by building a cohesive mini-collection that blended their signature bold, comedic attitude with simple, recognizable artwork. The goal was to introduce playful holiday elements—like heart-camo patterns, warped Valentine’s shapes, and minimal illustrations—while keeping everything rooted in the original 4LIFERS aesthetic. Each design needed to feel fresh for the drop but still 4LIFERS, giving the team a fun, limited-edition release fans could connect with instantly.

Results

The collection delivered a simple but standout Valentine’s Day drop built around a bold heart-camo identity and clean supporting graphics. Every piece felt connected, giving the team a themed release that still matched their original branding. The project was a success, but it also showed me how much more I needed to learn about production, communication, and delivering truly polished work. It was my first professional project.
